After two incredible years leading the club, Andy Tierney has recently informed us that he will not be returning to the role of club coach in 2026 due to time commitments.
Andy’s influence on the entire playing group’s development can’t be denied. With increased numbers at training and seeing the improvement and progression (especially the younger seniors), Andy has helped set the club up for a successful period ahead.
“On behalf of the committee, players and the whole Saints community, I want to sincerely thank Andy for his leadership, commitment and care over the past two seasons. Andy has raised standards across the club, invested heavily in player development, and helped create an environment that people genuinely want to be part of. His impact will be felt well beyond his time as coach, and we are grateful for everything he has given to the Ringwood Saints”
Travis Fitton, President
“Id like to thank the Saints community for 2 fantastic years at the helm. We have made inroads to real success and laid foundations for the next coaching group to build on. I really look forward to seeing whats to come in the next few years and take great pride in knowing that I was part of it. I very much plan to stay involved in the club and won’t be a stranger. On a personal note, I’d like to publicly thank the club for the support I received during my Father’s illness and passing in 2024. The club was a major source of strength and support in a very challenging time. I will never forget how tightly the Ringwood baseball club held my family and I throughout that period and I remain eternally grateful for that. See you round Sainters. Its been fun”
Andy Tierney
Although he is not continuing in the role, we feel incredibly lucky that Andy will still be around the club when he can, and we look forward to seeing him contribute, lead and support as he always has.
The committee will make an announcement around the application process in the coming days.
Once again – a massive thank you Andy from everyone at the Saints.
